Engineers Without Borders Sweden works to address challenges linked to the Sustainable Development Goals, both in Sweden and around the globe. Through improvements in education, equality, energy poverty and access to water and sanitation we strive to make a sustainable and long-term impact with our work, for local communities and the Earth as a whole.

Water Supply Chonyonyo

The citizens of Chonyonyo, Rukole and the area around have a very stressed water situation. Women and children walk several hours to reach natural water sources and the water is not of good quality. The aim of this project is to supply clean water to the villagers of Chonyonyo and Rukole and also to the Chonyonyo girls secondary school.

Kolandoto Healthy Hospital

A collaboration between Kolandoto Hospital in Tanzania and the Swedish NGOs Involvaid, Engineers Without Borders and Architects Without Borders resulted in substantial hospital infrastructure improvements for Kolantodo Hospital. The primary objective of the project was the reduction of morbidity and mortality in the Shinyanga region.

Engineer to Engineer

Engineer to Engineer connects progressive companies with newly arrived engineers and scientists to improve work and social integration. Engineers and scientists can network and exchange experiences with working professionals in Sweden.

 

Water from the Sky

A short documentary about an ongoing rainwater harvesting tank project in Karagwe, Tanzania. The project is a collaboration between MAVUNO Project in Tanzania and Engineers Without Borders, Sweden.
