PRESS INVITATION 10 June 2025 – Advancing Girl’s Education through Engineering and Partnership in Tanzania
Engineers Without Borders, together with Sveriges Ingenjörer, is pleased to invite you to a seminar with Ms Gloria Katabazi, Principal of Mavuno Model Girls’ Secondary School, and Mr Charles Bahati, Director of the Mavuno Project, on how engineering, education, and long-term collaboration can create life-changing opportunities.
The Mavuno Modal Girls’ Secondary School in northwestern Tanzania has gone from modest beginnings to becoming one of the top-performing schools in the country — currently ranked 53rd out of over 5,000 schools in national exams.
Interview requests
Gloria Katabazi, and Charles Bahati, will be in Stockholm from 9–11 June. If you are interested in interviewing them, there will be time available during the day on 10 June. Both will be participating in the seminar at 17:00 at Sveriges Ingenjörer, Oxtorgsgatan 9–11.
