Through a renewed collaboration between Engineers Without Borders Sweden and Sveriges Ingenjörer [Engineers of Sweden], member engagementis being transformed into concrete developmentinitiatives. During the Ingenjörsvalet 2026 in April [the Engineering Election], every vote cast represents a direct contribution to projects that strengthen local communities and build a sustainable future.
A joint effort for a sustainable future
Sveriges Ingenjörer is the country’s largest union and professional organization for graduate engineers. During the election, members have the opportunity to influence the organization's direction for the next four years by electing the General Assembly – while simultaneously contributing to the work of Engineers Without Borders Sweden.
For Engineers Without Borders Sweden, this partnership represents a vital opportunity to scale up efforts for a more sustainable world through engineering. At the same time, the goal is to reach more engineers in Sweden who wish to get involved and contribute to our projects.
This is not the first time the organizations have joined forces. In the previous 2022 election, member votes generated over SEK 120,000 for the work of Engineers Without Borders Sweden. For this year’s election, the goal is to increase the number of votes and surpass the previous result.
Why you should vote in the election
The funds raised through the Engineering Election go directly to the work of Engineers Without Borders Sweden – ranging from inspiring young people in Sweden to pursue technical careers, to securing access to clean water, education, and sustainable energy in international projects.
