A significant portion of the funding will support an agroforestry project for women in Mutoko of north-eastern Zimbabwe. The initiative promotes women’s empowerment, economic independence, and access to sustainable livelihoods through climate-resilient farming practices. It is expected to benefit more than 80 women in the community.
The project is based on local ownership and is carried out in partnership with FACE (Family Action for Community Empowerment). FACE is a local organization in Zimbabwe with long-term experience in community health and sustainable livelihoods.
— We are very grateful for the contribution from Sveriges Ingenjörer. It helps us quickly move from word to action in a project that strengthens women’s opportunities through sustainable farming in Zimbabwe. The collaboration also means that we reach out to more engineers who want to contribute as members or monthly donors, says Marianne Grauers, Secretary General of Engineers Without Borders Sweden.
Thank you to Sveriges Ingenjörer and it’s members for the commitment to sustainable engineering for all!
