Marianne Grauers Appointed Secretary General of EWB-SWE

Engineers Without Borders Sweden (EWB-SWE) has appointed Marianne Grauers as its new Secretary General. She has served as Acting Secretary General since July 2025, while the recruitment committee conducted a comprehensive selection process.
Nearly 50 qualified candidates applied for the position, reflecting a high level of interest in contributing to the organization’s mission. The recruitment committee extends its appreciation to all applicants for their engagement and professionalism throughout the process.
A Committed Leader with a Strong Connection to EWB-SWE
With an extensive career in engineering and leadership, Marianne Grauers brings valuable experience and a strong dedication to impact-driven humanitarian engineering and sustainable development.

Marianne has also demonstrated her commitment to EWB-SWE’s mission through several years of volunteer work. She first joined EWB-SWE as a member in 2016 and as a volunteer in 2018, collaborating with the Mavuno Project in Tanzania. Since then, she has served as a board member and vice chairperson.
Building on her long involvement, the board is pleased to welcome Marianne Grauers as the organisation’s full-time Secretary General:
